Yes, just got back from the gig@Comedy Box Brighton.

Not bad...not brilliant, but not bad.

Weird crowd though...they didn't seem to laugh at anyone much...which is always disconcerting. We (me, other acts, the compere) were all a little freaked by it.

But was nice to see people i know (and get paid for fun times had).

And so...back to the weekday thing...such a come down from creativity to daytime activities!! Ah well, next set of creativity ahoy, cap'n! BRING IT ON!

Yes, indeedy, it's certainly turning out to be one of those weeks...mainly because i haven't had much sleep so far!!

Which leads me very messily into saying: Giggerage! This Sunday, 19th March: I'm doing a short set at The Comedy Box@The Providence, Western Road, Brighton, UK, The World, The Milky Way (etc.).
It starts about 8ish, and it's free to get in...which is certainly a good thing.

i had m'hair cut the other day....Brian Molko short. I wasn't sure at first, but i'm pretty happy with it. I keep grabbing for my old straggly bits, though...theyre gone!

In other non-hair related news: I've been spending some extremely late nights getting the comic book presentation together...so very tired. I'll post something as soon as i become less of a 'puter 'tard.
Also, i received my name badge and pass for the London Book Fair..."Mr Andy-Lee Fry, Author"....Love it. Would i look like a twat wearing it places other than LBF? yes, course i would.
Stand up comedy-wise. I'm working on some new material....i'm at that unholy point where i've scruitinised the new material to the point that i don't find it funny anymore. BAH! Baptism of fire, methinks, see if people like it.

i'm tired of talking about myself....who are you, and what did you do to the rug?

hello!

Okie, first things last...but only if you had it in the wrong order to begin with. For those of you Brighton-bound, i have a gig at The Comedy Box on the 19th March (sunday). It's free to get in, which is even better...normally...except that can often lead to some very nasty crowds. But hey! It'll be fun!
But i'll post prcise details nearer the time.

Back in comic-book land, i've finished writing the script, and now is the daunting and looooong task of the pictures, and formatting. It's fun....but it stretches way out in front of you, laughing at you, like a haggard old wench in a beret!!!

ahem.

in other news, i've had The Ramones song Pet Semetary in my head since tuesday...it's been a long week.

Just got back from London and my stand-up gig...i'm tired, but the adrenaline is still very much present, so i shant be sleeping for a while...d'oh!

Purely for the purposes of harping on like...well, a harp player...not the winged type, 'cause they freak me out....but just the usual harpies...wait, perhaps not harpies...

Purely for the purposes of whorish self-promotion (that's better, i like that MUCH more!!),here is a short announcement that i shall be playing a short set at the Laughng Horse Oxford Street tomorrow (or today, if you read this on monday). So if you fancy coming along, please do, it'll be fun!!

In other unrelated news, yesterday i raided Dave's Comics in Brighton...absolutely one of my favourite stores. I bought the two issues of I Feel Sick (Jhonen Vasquez excelled himself there....and the glossy, coloured pictures all the way through are very pretty), a copy of Anything Can Be Beaten Tot, and pawed through their new, nicely laid out back issue section....but alas, couldn't find any of the Batman issues i was after. But the store is looking very cool nowadays, so you should check it out if you're ever in Brighton.

And god, as if i need to further proove my Geek-dom.

Then again, i'm very proud of it!!!

Hello boys and girls!

Soooo, the gig@Laughing Horse Oxford Street went very well indeed; much fun, with a great bunch of comedians! Very cool.
Will be playing there again on the 30th, so if you fancy it, come along!

This weekend i've been mostly working on my new comic-book series that i'll be pitching to an American company, which should be interesting. Have been working very hard on it, and am proud of about 60% of it...which is a pleasant change! But my wrists are cracking like a cement mixer on crack and popping candy!! I'll post some of the artwork at some point.

Right, i'm off to get a cup of tea. Rock n Roll baby.

Right then, hope we're all way and enjoying something resembling a new year!!!!

God, i've been busy. Played at the Komedia in brighton on thursday, fantastic crowd, great bunch of comedians, really good night. If you ever get the chance to check out the Becks Krater night, you should do so.

RECRUITMENT DRIVE: Right then, me 'earties. A new comedy project involving myself is starting to get up and running, and we're recruiting one or two new members. elloooo.

got back from the fforde ffest on sunday...was ever so slightly surreal...seeing Elvis performing Edgar Allen Poe's The Raven is an image that will stay with me for a while. but still....very cool event...and something i'm very proud to say i was part of, even if it was only as the compere...oooh, and Jasper Fforde himself gifted me with something very cool too (a particularly cool and generous man in many ways!).

i feel comically renewed...can't wait for my next bunch of gigs!

Well now,

i'm compere at the Fforde Ffestival (www.jasperfforde.com) this weekend...i really shouldn't be leading crowds....it's incitement to riot.
so it's comedy season once again...yes, there's a break for the Edinburgh festival which is comedy OUTSIDE of the comedy season....i'm part of the comedy world, i never said that world made sense. Anyway, i shall be posting dates for things as soon as they're finalised. To be honest, i'm really looking forward to it this year...i have that itching feeling.

haven't updated this in aaaages...have had flu!!!! was a nightmare, it was so bad that i had to cancel my Amused Moose thing....but it's pokey, i've got another slot on the 27th of this month!!!
